For sale is a 1973 Super Beetle with the original AK code 1600cc dual port engine and 4 speed manual. 28,xxx on the odometer but has rolled to 128,xxx based on old paperwork. Great running and driving car, turn key driver. Engine runs smoothly with no known issues, transmission shifts well through all gears. Battery, cap/rotor/wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, fuel hoses, exhaust/muffler, heater hoses and belt have recently been replaced. Oil change and valve adjustment performed. Brake master, wheel cylinders and shoes have been replaced recently, stops well and rides smooth on new tires. All electrical components in working order, original AM/FM radio powers on but not much can be heard from the speakers. Very straight and quite solid car. No major signs of body damage but has had a sub par repaint in the past that is fading and peeling off in places, some light bondo can be seen in the typical sail panel rust area, some small holes show through as well but far less than most. Body and chassis underneath are also very solid, some small holes on the lower rear rocker area on the driver side but that is the largest area of rust on the car (can send photos with it on a lift) Original floor pans are in great shape, no rust on the driver side and only a couple small holes near the battery area on the passenger. Interior is on relatively good shape overall, just has some typical signs of use and age. Dash has had a cover cap installed. Overall a great car to drive as is or would be an easy candidate for a repaint to make a nice looking car. Clean title in hand. $5200 obo. Sorry no trades.
